The forms (organizations) of external quality control provide the appropriate stimulus for the improvement, on an inter-laboratorial level, having as purpose to provide the best care possible for the customer-patients.
The participation and successful advancement of a laboratory
In external quality control forms (ability trials), constitute a precious tool for the improvement of its services but it is also a significant part of its obligations as an accredited laboratory.

Ability trial is the determination of results through a series of trials (analyses) through inter-laboratorial collaboration.
Inter-laboratorial comparison is the organization, the implementation and the evaluation of a trial (analyses) on similar samples, from two or more laboratories according to predetermined conditions.
A. EVANGELOU BIODIAGNOSTIKI LTD clinical laboratory systematically participates in such a form of external quality control having as organizer one of the most important international organizations (Randox International Assessment Scheme - RIQAS).
The laboratory receives samples from the organizer and after it holds the analyses, within a predetermined interval, it sends back the results and expects its result report.
The laboratory's long term participation shows its constant development but also its disposal to improve through the evaluation of results it receives.
The laboratory's participation is so frequent that it ensures his technical ability in its field in clinical medicine.
