The clinical laboratory A. EVANGELOU BIODIAGNOSTIKI LTD clinical laboratory has planned and applied an internal quality control system for the examination procedures conducted on a daily  basis.

The resulting data of internal quality control are stored in files and are constantly examined so as to locate the tendencies and review the results.

The internal quality control comprises an essential preventive tool which the laboratory applies, and thus decisively contributes to customer-patients optimal care.

The internal quality control of the laboratory includes the following:

• Use of original samples of control (terms of control)
• Use of the calibrator substance
• Use of  result reports acquired from the cooperation with other laboratories (exterior quality control)
• Repetitive examinations (analyses)
• Repetition of examinations of maintained samples
• Cross-correlation of results for different characteristics of  a sample
• Use of similar laboratories for a second opinion
