A. Evangelou Biodiagnostiki was founded by Dr Andreas G. Evangelou microbiologist, born and raised in the Turkish occupied town of Famagusta - Cyprus.

Dr. Andreas G. Evangelou carried out the first part of his studies at the Bucharest State University. He then acquired work experience at St. Savvas Hospital in Athens - Greece. He returned to Bucharest State University were he began his PHD thesis in medical microbiology. During this time, he had the chance and honor to meet and be apprentice under the distinguished academic Dr Gheorge Zarnea *, who for a series of years was his scientific instructor and also supervised his doctoral thesis.

Upon completion of his thesis Dr A. Evangelou worked at 106th National Guard Hospital and then at Nicosia General Hospital - Cyprus.

In the beginning of 1988 Dr A. Evangelou started his own clinical laboratory at Xylotymbou. In 1990 he moved to Larnaca where he set up a modest clinical laboratory at Gregory's Afxentiou Ave. where he remained up to the end of 2006.
Subsequently, A. Evangelou Biodiagnostiki moved to its new privately-owned, fully modern spacious laboratory at 20-22 Yianni Kranidioti Ave. - Orphanides building-Larnaca-Cyprus.

He was a member of the French scientists' Jacques Monod team at the time the team acquired the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine 1965

A. Evangelou Biodiagnostiki was founded by Dr. Andreas G. Evangelou in 1988 in order to provide a full range of services in the field of laboratory medicine.
Through the passage of time, we gained the confidence of the medical world and people in general, for the reliability and the quality of the services we offer.

When our laboratory was one of the first few laboratories to be accredited with the Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS) in 2008, it was an important recognition of the level of service we had achieved.

Now, 20 years later, A. Evangelou Biodiagnostiki is trusted and chosen for medical analyses and laboratory support by state and private hospitals, individual physicians and patients. This is because the Biodiagnostiki Laboratory combines an unparalleled degree of reliability in results given by cutting edge technology; transparent services with safety procedures ensuring uncontaminated samples; and an ethics policy that respects the individual patient and their privacy. These policies are in accordance to the international standard of the ISO 15189 certificate with which our laboratory has been awarded.

Our laboratory maintains a sympathetic approach to special groups of population such as pensioners, the families with many children as well as individuals that are compelled for reasons of health to have continuous analyses (e.g. Hormones, Coagulation, and Lipids etc.).  . Our policy to such groups of population is to apply special billing arrangements.
